FAQ

What's a service like?

Our service start with worship music, end with preaching and follow-up prayer. The service is approximately 75 minutes long and begins at 10AM. We are very casual and non-traditional, yet intentional in our pursuit of God. You can expect to be greeted by friendly people and included in our services. Immediately after the service, our pastors and leaders hang out at the City Life Cafe, and they’d love to meet you or answer any questions you might have.

Where do my kids go?

Look for the City Life Kids check-in area or for a dream team member wearing a lanyard to assist you. All of our Kids Classes are open for check-in 30 minutes prior to service and kids are picked up immediately after service. To find out more click here.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing. In the summer time, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday Best,” and that’s fine too. We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.

Where should I park?

Street parking is free on Sundays. We recommend parking on Bayshore Blvd.

What is the worship like?

City Life Church worship is loud, mostly upbeat, and always about Jesus. God has blessed us with talented musicians who love Jesus and are there to help bring us into the presence of God. Worship is way more than entertainment. It is our expression of love and gratitude to God, so we’re pretty passionate and intentional about it.

What is the preaching like?

We preach Jesus. This means we teach from the Bible, because the Bible is all about Jesus. We strive to preach sermons that are relevant and meet people where they’re at. Our goal is for people to be challenged in their faith, encouraged in their walk with God and equipped to fulfill their purpose here on earth. The sermon is usually 35-40 minutes in length. You can check out previous sermons here.

What is prayer?

This is how we communicate with God. Nobody is “forced” to pray out loud, but as a charismatic church, it’s not uncommon for people to pray passionately at different points of our services. If you have any special prayer requests, our Prayer Team is always happy to pray with you.
